Lisa Kirsch Satawa represents adults and children under investigation or accused of crimes in Federal, State, and Juvenile Court. She is a graduate of Boston University and received her Juris Doctor from Detroit College of Law. She received the Kimberly M. Cahill Bar Leadership Award from the State Bar of Michigan in 2011 for fulfilling a legal need for the benefit of the community. In 2020, she received the highest honor a criminal attorney in Michigan can achieve — the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, Champion of Justice Award. Lisa has been selected and recognized in Michigan Super Lawyers magazine from 2009-2020 as well as Top Women Lawyers in Michigan from 2014-2020.
Jim Makowski, Esq.
Jim Makowski is experienced and well versed in firearms law & self-defense. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit – Mercy Law. Jim developed the current Concealed Pistol License legal training for the U.S. Concealed Carry Association and serves on its Critical Response Team. He has been featured in local and national media outlets on legal issues in relation to firearms. He also serves as corporation counsel and legal advisor for Michigan Gun Owners Inc.
Terry Johnson, Esq.
Terry Johnson is a subject matter expert in firearms and is seen frequently on local and national news outlets. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and received his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley. Terry is a firearms instructor with the National Rifle Association as well as the U.S. Concealed Carry Association. He also teaches classes on the legal use of self-defense to police reserves.
